The second phase of La Mesita followed the first 80 units of affordable housing built in the project’s first phase, building 16 new residential units to serve unhoused families with minor-aged children. The project transformed a former motel into a state‑of‑the‑art shelter campus, integrated with on‑site services designed to support family stability and self‑sufficiency to offer a long‑term, urban solution to family homelessness. This phase of La Mesita is also LEED-H Platinum certified.
