The redevelopment of the 2.6 acre site, which serves thousands of bus and light rail passengers at Van Buren Street between Central and First Avenues included extensive shade features, new landscaping, more appealing waiting areas, interior building remodel, HVAC and site upgrades, solar, signage and way finding. This project was designed with sustainable strategies including a high performance HVAC system, LED lighting, low-water use plumbing, pervious paving and a photovoltaic system.
