La Mesita Apartments, located in Mesa, Arizona, is a transit‑oriented housing and services campus serving low income residents. As the first project of its kind along Mesa’s light rail corridor, the first phase of La Mesita includes an 80-unit affordable housing facility, with 30 of these units acting as permanent, supportive housing units for chronically unhoused individuals who need more intensive and longer-term supportive services. In addition, the project is LEED-H Platinum certified and was recognized with the 2015 Brian Mickelsen Housing Hero Award for Exemplary Urban Multifamily Project.
